The last 2 years have seen a number of changes in the road system from Woolgoolga to Ballina.
It’s a $4.36 billion project and in time will make the travel from Sydney to Brisbane a breeze.
This is a picture of the start of the duplication of the Harwood Bridge. We can see how it’s coming together. Absolutely amazing !
The new bridge has to be high enough to allow yachts to pass underneath. The original bridge raises when yachts need to pass.
So the new bridge has to allow this to happen just like the Gateway Bridge in Brisbane.
The due date for completion is early 2020. Every time you drive to this area you will see changes to the road, to the bridge.
