The Rotary Club of Maclean began The Tour de Woodford in 2008 as a way of bringing the community of the Clarence Valley together that gave families and individuals the opportunity to have a great time together, but encourage the more competitive rider to pace themselves against their fellow cyclist on one of two open road course, 25 kilometres or 45 kilometres.
Brushgrove (Recreational Triangle park), has proved to be a popular not only for the riders and their families, but also the residence of Woodford Island. The riders come from across the Valley and beyond, with large groups leaving Grafton, Yamba and Maclean early in the morning.
No matter which course you are on there are Marshals, support and direction signage along the way, it is an open road event. Please follow marshal directions and have a safe and wonderful Tour de Woodford. For more information: www.tourdewoodford.org.au
